Hi! I'm Kaysi and welcome to my blog! If you're looking for simple, easy and cheap crafts than you have come to the right place. I have realize that the more children I have, the less time and money I have to do crafts. I used to go all out with my crafts, put lots of embellishments on everything but I find that takes time, time that I don't always have. So I now have a new motto: keep it simple.

Tutorial Tuesday: THREE shirt

This past week my youngest son turned 3!  I of course had to make him a special birthday shirt, so when I saw this simple idea, I knew that I wanted to make it for him.
This is how I made it:
1) I took two different shirts.  One I got at Walmart for $1 and then polo shirt I found at a garage sale for about $.25.  It was too small anyway, so it was prefect for this.

2) I cut the polo shirt up
3) I took one of the sides and ironed fabric interfacing to it (just the regular kind you find at a craft store).
4) I put both sides together and then put a 3 on top.  I just cut the 3's out with scissors.
There are the two 3's
5) I ironed on one of the 3's.  I only did one because I wanted the top layer to be able to move.
6) I sewed the top three onto the shirt.  I love how the edges are folded over.
7) For the three, I used my CAMEO and my heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl.  I cut out the word and then completely removed it from the plastic.
8) With white paint, I distressed the letters.
9) I put the letters back onto the plastic and then ironed it onto the shirt.
Here it is all done.
And now my cute boy has a fun birthday shirt!
He looks so grown up!
I did wash this shirt and the paint did just fine on the heat transfer :)

LifeStyle Crafts Winter Dies

Have you been to LifeStyle Crafts yet?  Have you been recently?  They are always getting new things in!
Beaded Watches
This month they have some awesome new dies!  I love how well all these cut, they are great!  You won't want to miss out because they are amazing!

The first die that I used was the envelope die.  It's so fun to be able to personalize a little envelope and note!
The die even comes with a die to do a piece of paper that fits perfectly!  It also comes with a little envelope too, great for little birthday tags or other gifts.
The next die is the pinwheel.
I'm excited to put this on a gift for Valentine's Day, it will add just the right touch.
I just love all of their box dies, they are so fun!!  This one is a pop up box die.
I'm going to fill this with some sweet candy and it will be perfect for someone special!
